Relocating of specialists

Bruton Knowles and King Sturge on behalf of Prudential are delighted to announce the letting of Olympus Plaza, Gloucester to British Nuclear Group Project Services Ltd, the specialist decommissioning and remediation contracting business of British Nuclear Group. Project Services were represented in the transaction by property consultants GVA Grimley.

Olympus Plaza is a self-contained landmark building of over 18,000ft2 situated in Quedgeley, fronting the Bristol Road. Olympus Plaza was constructed in the 1990’s as the flagship building for the Olympus Business Park.

With the radical reshaping of the UK nuclear industry on April 1, British Nuclear Group Project Services became a limited company. The move to Olympus Plaza will involve relocation of staff from Berkeley, part of the company’s journey to becoming a stand-alone contracting organisation with an international customer base.

Peter Barrett, office expert at leading property consultancy Bruton Knowles in Gloucester commented: “We experienced strong demand for the building due to the high level of car parking and its proximity to local services offered by Quedgeley. Prior to agreeing the deal we had a number of large organisations expressing serious interest and the client was delighted to select Project Services. This deal shows the continued buoyancy of the office market in South Gloucester and follows the letting of several other offices on the neighbouring Green Farm Business Park.

“This is good news for Quedgeley and a sign that it is increasingly becoming a centre in its own right. There is now almost a full range of facilities provided in the area, giving people the opportunity to work within walking distance of where they live, bring many social and environmental benefits.”
