Richard has over 20 years commercial property experience and has dealt with major property portfolios across the public and private sectors. He has been working in Yorkshire for the last ten years, handling major disposal programmes for Jarvis Accommodation Services Ltd on behalf of Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, and also providing in-house property consultancy for The Magnet Group and the Arcadia Group. Prior to that Richard worked for Barclays Bank in property roles spanning the UK.

In his new position at Bruton Knowles, Richard will be providing property expertise for a range of private and public sector clients across Yorkshire and the north east. A key part of his role will be to provide property services for North Yorkshire County Council (NYCC) as part of Bruton Knowles’ major five-year outsourcing contract for the management of Estates Services for the Council. The Bruton Knowles team provides a full corporate estate management service for NYCC, together with other specialist property services such as valuations, acquisition and disposals, landlord and tenant work, rating, planning and development, specialist CPO services, feasibility studies and strategic advice.

Since the opening of the Northallerton office in October 2006, the team has expanded on the back of a raft of new client wins and instructions including the North Yorkshire Police Service. Commenting on the latest addition to the team, Philip Boothroyd, head of the Northallerton office says: “Richard’s depth and breath of property experience across the private and public sectors together with his knowledge of the Yorkshire and regional markets are great assets.
