Substantial new Indian restaurant for Longlevens PDF Print
A popular neighbourhood shopping centre at Greyhound Gardens, Longlevens, is to benefit from a substantial new Indian restaurant, following the successful negotiation by leading property consultants Bruton Knowles, of a new 25-year lease on a 3,000 sq ft unit in the parade.

The ‘Spicy Calcutta Club’, a new 130 cover Indian restaurant, is the latest acquisition for well known Gloucestershire restaurateur Mr Ali, who owns a series of other successful establishments in the region.  Opening in April 2008 following an extensive refurbishment programme, the new eatery will be a welcome addition to this popular residential area, particularly for those wanting a high quality Indian dining experience, as it is one of only two Indian restaurants in Longlevens.

Katie Winter, surveyor at Bruton Knowles in Gloucester appraises the premises: “Greyhound Gardens is a very modern, well designed shopping parade in a very pleasant and desirable residential area, which makes it a popular spot for people dining and socialising.  It is therefore an ideal location for the new Spicy Calcutta Club, which at 3,000 sq ft and 130 covers is really the area’s first substantial high quality Indian restaurant.  This combined with Mr Ali’s experience and expertise in running several other very successful restaurants should make it a very welcome addition to the parade.”

The parade is also home to The Property Centre, Gwyn James & Co Solicitors, Hong Kong City and The Greyhound public house.
