Bruton Knowles awarded The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association property contract PDF Print

Representing our latest contract win in the charity sector, The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association has recently awarded us a five-year contract to deliver a range of property skills across its expanding portfolio, including strategic consultancy and professional advice.

With around 1,000 professional staff and a portfolio of approximately 30 properties spread over 28 district teams across the UK, Guide Dogs needs to ensure its property infrastructure is well placed to deliver increased services and support its future expansion. The charity plans to increase the number of guide dog owners across the country by recruiting and training additional staff and modernising its network of guide dog training schools.

Our remit as property advisor to Guide Dogs is a wide-ranging one and includes strategic reviews of its property portfolio to maximise value from its assets, advice on acquisitions and disposals of properties, asset valuations, rent reviews and lease renewals.

Our team endorses the Charity Commission’s updated guidance for charitable organisations which includes a new hallmark of being ‘financially sound and prudent’. As one of the leading property consultancies advising the charity sector, we are well placed to support Guide Dogs in their active property asset strategy to ensure effective planning of future property costs as a key part of the financial planning process.
