Leading property consultancy Bruton Knowles has been appointed by technical and management consultants Jacobs UK to deliver specialist compulsory purchase (CPO) services to Kent Highways as part of an innovative ‘one-stop shop’ highways improvement contract. In this contract, which runs until 2011, Bruton Knowles will act as Jacobs UK’s compulsory purchase arm, providing a full range of compensation and compulsory purchase skills and services for the delivery of Kent Highways’ new build, improvement and maintenance highways projects. Specific services offered by Bruton Knowles for this contact include CPO and compensation inquiries and assessments, negotiations for land access, and purchasing extra land for highways work or new land for infrastructure development. Angus Mylles, head of public sector at Bruton Knowles comments on the new contract.
"Bruton Knowles has a strong, long-standing working relationship with Jacobs UK and this recent appointment comes on the back of our existing partnering agreement to provide wider property consultancy services to Wolverhampton City Council. Again, it is the case that both parties offer complementary skills to the client." Bruton Knowles’ national compensation team has wide experience of infrastructure schemes and have been involved in major landmark projects such as the Channel Tunnel Rail Link and Heathrow Terminal 5. |
