A raft of new development and regeneration projects for property consultancy Bruton Knowles has led to the expansion of its development team in the West Midlands.

Public sector expert Robert Elliott has been appointed senior development surveyor at BK’s Birmingham office, bringing the number of surveyors engaged on development projects to eleven - one of the largest specialist development teams in Birmingham.
Robert Elliott has over fifteen years experience in strategic property development in the public sector. His previous role at Stoke-on-Trent City Council involved the management of major brownfield redevelopment schemes, including brownfield site assessments. He has been recruited at BK to oversee development projects on behalf of new and existing clients across the Midlands, including Wolverhampton City Council, Birmingham City Council and Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council.

Trevor Webb, partner and development expert at Bruton Knowles welcomes Robert, “Robert brings a much needed additional resource to the team at a time when our client and project list in the development field is growing fast. His specialist regeneration expertise will be put to good use on a range of regeneration and renewal projects for Wolverhampton City Council, Birmingham’s Eastside and Walsall town centre – to name a few. It’s an exciting time for development surveyors in the region with the billions of pounds being invested in regeneration over the next decade.”

Robert comments on his appointment, “I am delighted to be joining BK at a time when there are such huge opportunities for regeneration work across the Midlands. The team at BK is working on some particularly interesting projects for a wide range of local authorities and public sector bodies. Indeed, my first task has been to market the Grade II* Listed Molineux Hotel in Wolverhampton City Centre and the landmark Bilston Town Hall close to proposed Bilston Urban Village.”

“Furthermore, BK’s appointment as one of only seven property consultants on the Office of Government Commerce’s national framework agreement offers huge scope for providing the full range of property consultancy services and skills to public sector bodies. I’m looking forward to working with the team in place here.”
