Bruton Knowles has appointed Lesley Bunting to its Wolverhampton team thanks to a growing demand for the company’s professional property services in the West Midlands.
The appointment further strengthens Bruton Knowles’ commercial expertise, particularly in the delivery of major regeneration schemes.
Most recently working for Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (DMBC), Lesley has had significant involvement in the co-ordination of regeneration projects and was part of the team tasked with the implementation of Dudley town centre master plan, and the delivery of the Dudley Area Development Framework.
Prior to her time at DMBC, Lesley’s 16 year property career includes an impressive track record in the delivery of large scale disposals, acquisitions, capital development and maintenance programmes for two major FTSE retail/leisure organisations. This included over ten years for major brewery Marstons plc (formerly Wolverhampton and Dudley Breweries), where as group estates director, she was responsible for the management of a UK wide £2 billion portfolio of licensed and unlicensed property.
Lesley also has the privilege of being registered, since 2005 as an Ambassador for the City of Wolverhampton, a role which entails promotion of the work of Wolverhampton City Council to transform the city. She will be continuing with this voluntary role while at Bruton Knowles.
Commenting on Lesley’s appointment, Gavin Loynes, partner and head of the Wolverhampton office says: “With regeneration and development occurring on an unprecedented scale in the area, Lesley’s extensive local knowledge will be crucial to the work of the Wolverhampton team. Her expertise will also provide us with valuable additional support on a range of projects including Wolverhampton City Interchange – the creation of a showcase facility for the convergence of all transport service in a single city centre site.”
