Two new appointments boost Cardiff office PDF Print
The Cardiff office has increased its professional team with the appointment of two new surveyors following several high profile contract wins and client instructions.

Jonathan Davies has joined from Monmouthshire County Council where he was a management surveyor in charge of property portfolios and involved in disposals and acquisitions. He has joined Bruton Knowles as a commercial surveyor and his new role will involve working across all professional skill areas including landlord and tenant, valuations and rating as well as some CPO work. He will work with a number of high profile clients including Network Rail, the Environment Agency and the Welsh Assembly.

Jonathan is looking forward to working with the team in Cardiff: “My seven years working in commercial property surveying in the public sector will stand me in good stead for my new role.  I am looking forward to the challenge of working on a range of private and public sector clients and with other skilled members of the professional team. The work we are currently doing with the Welsh Assembly to assist with the development of the £14bn defence training academy at RAF St Athan is particularly interesting as it a major development in South Wales and will help boost the region’s commercial property market.”

Neil Morgan has joined as a graduate surveyor following three years at Cunningham Lindsay in Bristol where he was a building surveyor working in loss adjusting. He graduated from the University of Glamorgan with a degree in building surveying and whilst at Bruton Knowles he will also study for his Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).

Neil comments on his appointment: “The chance to learn new skills and have first class support from Bruton Knowles whilst studying for my APC were instrumental in my decision to join the Cardiff office. My three years of work since graduating have given me a solid understanding of building surveying and I hope to further my knowledge of the profession working on a range of projects for both private and public sector clients.”

Scott Caldwell, who heads up the Cardiff office, is pleased to welcome both new staff members to the team: “This is an exciting time for the Cardiff office as we continue to win new business and expand the client base across all sectors. Jonathan and Neil are valuable additions to the team and will add significant value as we look to sustain the current level of business growth.  The expansion of the business is being driven by the significant amount of new work being won on the back of our renowned property consultancy expertise, specialist compensation and compulsory purchase knowledge and first-class building surveying skills. This has all helped to increase our profile in Cardiff and throughout South Wales.”
