Acquisitions Acquisition of property by private treaty and/or, in accordance with the compulsory purchase compensation code for a wide variety of purposes, including housing, leisure, highways, education, social services, probation and fire and rescue is carried out for local authority clients. The acquisition work covers the full range of activities from site finding, surveys, obtaining planning permission, detailed negotiations of terms and any necessary accommodation works, together with reference to Lands Tribunal in the event of a compulsory acquisition not being agreed. Disposals Surplus land and property is disposed of on client’s behalf at the best possible price, taking into consideration any possibility for development. In certain circumstances disposals are carried out in accordance with an agreed programme in order to enhance an organisations' capital requirements. Outline applications for development sites are submitted and taken to appeal if necessary. Properties are disposed of by way of private treaty sale, formal or informal tender or auction.
