Bruton Knowles supports ACES events PDF Print
Bruton Knowles plays a proactive role in the public sector property events calendar, as recently highlighted by its involvement at the Association of Chief Estates Surveyors and Property Managers in the Public Sector (ACES) Spring Conference recently held at Aston University, Birmingham.

Bruton Knowles exhibited at the conference and members of the team were on hand to talk to talk to property professionals from across the public sector on a range of strategic property issues.

The ACES event entitled ‘Delivering Sustainable Change’ explored how public sector property roles have changed from purely property management to focussing on strategic management to improve portfolio performance. It examined the need for property departments to directly contribute to the delivery of services, whilst making the best use of property assets in a sustainable way.

The conference, which included speakers Clive Dutton, director of planning and regeneration for Birmingham City Council, Gary Taylor, director at Argent and Andrew Yates, partner at Pinsents, explored ‘sustainable change’ and highlighted the city of Birmingham as a case study for successful regeneration over the last 15 years, pointing to the vital role of public and private sector partnerships.

At a separate ACES event, partners at Bruton Knowles in Birmingham, Ian Mercer and Avtar Gill, were also invited to give a presentation on Strategic Asset Management to the ACES Heart of England branch, covering Leicestershire, Nottingham and West Midlands local authorities.
