The last in this year’s highly successful series of local government property conferences takes place in Keele, Staffordshire on 6 November.
Property professionals and lawyers working or involved in local government have just three weeks left to register their interest and secure their free place at the Local Government Property Conference (LGPC). The last LGPC in the series will offer delegates strategic advice and practical support for achieving best value from local authority property assets, including guidance on the effective management of disposals, as well as providing a platform for debating topical issues ranging from the Planning Gain Supplement to Sir Michael Lyons proposal for a supplementary business rate.
The conference is being organised in conjunction with commercial property and planning specialist law firm Davitt Jones Bould and Kings Chambers, the leading planning and property barrister chambers. Topics include: Richard Law, senior partner at Bruton Knowles, said: “Local authorities are facing huge pressure to drive the efficiency agenda through the effective management of the billions of pounds worth of real estate they control. Whether managing, regenerating, purchasing or disposing of property, local government officers need a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of all key legal and policy requirements. This conference will give delegates the strategy and the tools required to make informed, effective property asset decisions and get maximum value from their portfolio.”
The response to the 2007 conference series has been excellent with many delegates citing the event as the best one-day course they have attended. It provides a unique opportunity for decision makers, managers and lawyers with direct responsibility for local authority property to come together and benefit from shared learning through insightful presentations and informed debate. For further details about the event and directions or to register online visit www.lgpc.co.uk. This conference is CPD accredited and offers six hours of training. |
