Our Building Consultancy team has provided support to utility and transport companies, partly as a result of their own business functions, but also on their own portfolio of properties. The major service relates to the provision of Schedules of Condition where works or pipelines pass close to buildings, where the resultant schedule enables accurate monitoring and settlement of legitimate claims. Our involvement is also seen by many occupiers as providing some independence and this, along with the detailed and accurate reports, minimises spurious claims. We have also acted as Party Wall surveyors where adjoining developments have an impact on our clients' property portfolio and where property is purchased as part of a transport scheme. Assistance can be provided on your own property portfolio needs, particularly in the design and project management of repair, alteration and improvement schemes and for reinstatement cost assessments for insurance purposes.
