Local Property Consultancy Announces Successful Start to The Year

Plymouth based property consultancy, Bruton Knowles, has had a successful start to the year, already securing a number of completed transactions as well as new instructions across all sectors of the market. The sales/lettings range from commercial to charity and industrial, showcasing the team’s range of knowledge and skill sets. 

To kick off, the agency has contributed to helping an essential local charity find a new location, situated in a prime position. Children’s Hospice South West, which provides care for children with life-limiting conditions, has signed the lease on 9 North Street, Ashburton. The space includes a ground floor shop with main sales area and rear storage/office.

Secondly, the Plymouth based office has helped a client lock down a significant space of some 24,250 square feet just off the A38 in Cornwall. Previously occupied by way of lease, Moorswater Industrial Estate has now been sold to tenant, The Wetsuit Factory, off an asking price of £800,000. 

Continuing the industrial theme, the team has completed on the sale of an industrial unit, at Armada Point, Plymouth. The property, which covers 7,141 square feet, has been sold for an asking price of £450,000 to I-Sub, a large format digital textile printing specialist. 

Also, recently completed, 16 Barn Close at Langage, Plymouth. Acting on behalf of J & J Associates, Bruton Knowles has completed a 10-year lease on this property, with breaks on the third and fifth anniversaries. An initial rent of £37,500 per annum has been agreed for the 8,530 square foot building.   

A redeveloped building, 8 West Street in Tavistock, has been sold to a private investor for £330,000, representing a yield of 9.8% . The multi-let retail investment holds a prominent position in this popular market town and comprises a mid-terraced building of traditional construction, with two ground floor shops, a basement and a showroom. 

Alongside this, and amongst several new instructions two ‘stand-out’ instructions have been approved. The first at Plymbridge Road, Estover, Plymouth.
