National property consultancy, Bruton Knowles, has created a Specialist Markets team, to target niche growth areas for the business, including the Hospitality, Care and Education sectors, as the brand continues to focus on its national expansion.

With the company’s recent Annual Results figures revealing record turnover and profit for the growing brand, the new Specialist Markets team continues to showcase the brand’s strategy to create expert teams which can target growing sectors within the property industry.

The company has identified four key growth areas which will fall under the division including Hospitality, Leisure, Education and Healthcare. Through identifying these sectors, the new team has been created based on the individuals’ expertise and specialist interests.

Led by Nottingham-based Senior Associate and Head of Agency Faculty at Bruton Knowles, Sam Spencer, the Specialist Markets team includes Senior Associate and Head of the London office, Kimberley Turner, Senior Associate and Head of Social Housing, Nick Worman in Cardiff and Associate, Jennifer Gill in Manchester.

Strategically placed in Bruton Knowles offices around the UK, the team can easily access any area of the country to deliver for new and existing clients. Current clients include the likes of River Cottage, Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust, Handelsbanken and Cynergy Bank, and the team will work to expand this already impressive list.

Together, Sam Spencer and Kimberley Turner have over 30 years’ experience working within the hospitality and leisure industry.

As well as heading up the London office, Kimberley is a Specialist Hotel and Hospitality Valuation Surveyor and will provide comprehensive advice from her work within the hospitality industry.

Having worked within specialist markets at Bruton Knowles for the past 10 years and another national specialist practice for 13 years before that, Sam Spencer is well placed to head up the new team.

Sam comments: “The hospitality market hasn’t yet been significantly affected by the Brexit climate. With staycations and overseas visitors still on the rise we’re seeing national growth across all sectors of the hotel market. This creates a huge opportunity for us and by establishing a team with expertise within this sector we’re opening doors for new business.

“I am delighted to be offered the new role of Head of the Specialists Markets team. We are seeking to grow our team quickly to cover areas of the country where we are under-represented, particularly the North-East, East Anglia and the South-West.

Jen Gill has six years’ experience working within specialist markets focusing on the independent education sector and childcare property. Jen’s roles have included providing valuations for secured lending purposes, restructuring and internal information purposes as well as transactional advice. Nick Worman is an expert in Social Housing valuation and also has significant experience in the healthcare property market.

James Bailey, Managing Partner at Bruton Knowles comments: “We’re delighted to announce that the Specialist Markets team is now in place. It’s a strategic move as part of our company growth plans whereby creating a niche team of expert individuals will allow us to target specific sectors where we have identified key growth opportunities.

“The new team has great strength and depth of talent across all disciplines, and we are very confident that combined, they offer insight, experience and expertise in these specialist market sectors, further building on the expertise we offer to our clients.”

Bruton Knowles is an independently-owned national property consultancy with 13 offices across the UK. Its large multi-disciplinary team is highly experienced in sale and purchase, valuation, leasing and strategy across commercial, rural and urban property, and has specialist expertise in utilities, public sector and social housing.
