One of the biggest events in the Cotswold calendar, winners of the 12th annual Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards will be announced at a glittering event to be held at Cheltenham Racecourse in July.
Bruton Knowles’ Philip Cowen said the awards were highly valued by clients across the county agricultural sector.
He said: “The farmers markets category is particularly worthy of support as they have made a genuine difference in so many of our towns, bringing the countryside right back to the people.
“Farmers markets are widely recognised for putting quality produce back within the reach of shoppers at a competitive price. They have breathed new life back into so many of our towns giving them a chance of attracting footfall away from the big destination stores and out-of-town centres.
“Sponsoring the best stallholder category underlines our strong links with the farming and local producers",
“It is good to be have some many entries this year I am sure we are going to have our work cut out picking a winner.”
Bruton Knowles will be making up their minds on entries from Fair and Square Chocolate Brownies, Cirencester Farmers’ Market, Gorsehill Abbey Cheese, Cheltenham Farmers’ Market and Severn Cider, from Gloucester Farmers’ Market.
This year’s event will be compered by Gloucestershire farmer and Countryfile regular Adam Henson.
