Ashleigh moves from neighbouring firm Vickery Holman, where he headed the Business Rates division. He also has extensive experience in commercial lease issues advising both landlord and tenant clients on key drivers including rent reviews, lease renewals and asset management issues.

Ashleigh, a chartered surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer with over 20 years’ experience , said: “This is an exciting time to be joining Bruton Knowles as the new Plymouth office is already busy dealing with the increased activity  levels we have seen in the commercial property sector.

“I am passionate about my home city and all it has to offer. Opening the Bruton Knowles office gives us the opportunity to bring quality professional advice to the city which is backed by national expertise.”

Outside of the office , Ashleigh is an active member of Plymouth Round Table and is a past Chairman. He is also a licensed RICS APC Assessor.

Ashleigh will be working in the Lockyer Street office alongside Glenn Kelly and Bruton Knowles Partner Paul Matthews.

Ashleigh concluded: “With the recovery gathering pace it is important for clients who might have simply battened down the hatches through the downturn to be ready and able to respond to rapidly changing market drivers. However they must also keep an eye on occupational costs such as business rates and taking local advice really does pay off.”
