A team of intrepid Bruton Knowles paddle boarders will be donning their wetsuits in early June as they take part in the inaugural Stand Up Paddleboard Cup or SUP Cup for short.
Taking place in the historic Floating Harbour in Bristol, teams of four will compete in a series of relay-style races to find the city’s best team and individual paddle boarder.
Raising money for the RNLI, the Bruton Knowles team includes Elizabeth Dawber, Richard Smale, Will Nell and Ben Fish.
They will be up against 23 other teams from across Bristol and the West Country.
Paul Williams, Head of Agency at the Bristol office said: “Paddle boarding has become hugely popular in recent years and seems like an appropriate way to raise money for this iconic institution.
“RNLI lifeguards and boats are a common sight across the country’s beaches and it’s all too easy to forget just how important the RNLI is for keeping us safe when enjoying all that the coast has to offer.
Let’s hope however we won’t need their services on the 9 June!”
