Bruton Knowles are picking up the pieces after the General Election – by letting out the office vacated by one of the departing MPs.
The firm’s Bristol office has been appointed to find new occupiers for Charlotte Leslie’s former constituency office on Henleaze Road.
Head of Agency Paul Williams said: “I know the property well as I was involved in letting the property to Charlotte when she was elected in 2010.
“There can be something of a spike in activity after a General Election, but in this case we are dealing with the fallout from the closure of a former constituency office.
“There is a human cost to electoral ups and downs, and although it’s easy to forget the person behind the public façade, closing an office in this way can be a sad affair.
“We wish Charlotte well in her future career, whatever that may be, and in the meantime look forward to welcoming a new occupant to this particular property.
“Henleaze Road is a popular and thriving location, with easy parking and a wide range of fantastic independent retailers, which is one reason that it worked so well as a location for the constituency office.
“Nevertheless the property is well suited to accommodate a range of uses and we are not expecting it to be on the market for long.”
