Buyers are being offered a rare opportunity to acquire a 12.15-acre site close to Ironbridge Gorge in Telford, Shropshire.
The land at Jiggers Bank, Horsehay, has the potential for tourism, leisure and employment uses, subject to planning, given its close proximity to the World Heritage Site, which attracts thousands of visitors every year, and the adjacent park and ride.
Bruton Knowles has been instructed to sell the land on behalf of Littleworth Enterprises Ltd.
Ian Mercer, partner and head of development at Bruton Knowles in Birmingham, said: “Land in this area of Telford, close to the popular Ironbridge Gorge tourist attraction, rarely comes up for sale.
“While it is currently agricultural land, in view of its proximity to Ironbridge, subject to the appropriate planning consents being granted, the land could make an important contribution to the local leisure and tourism industry, a key plank of Telford, Wrekin and Shropshire’s economic growth strategy.
Offers are being invited for the land, which is being sold in either one or two lots, with Lot 1 totalling 8.23 acres and Lot 2 3.92 acres.
