Deals are being closed in double quick time as companies establish bases in Bridgwater in response to the upswing in demand triggered by the nearby Hinkley C development.
Will Nell from Bruton Knowles reported immediate interest in Unit 19 at the Sedgemount Industrial Park just off the Bristol Road – which has been taken by FBB South West Ltd.
He said: “We put the unit on the market and had a strong offer on the table almost immediately from FBB, which wanted to be up and running in Bridgwater very quickly.”
“FBB South West Ltd is a bearing and power transmission company supplying to industry, agricultural, automotive, trade and retail.
“Bridgwater is booming – the area is expanding fast and we are actively looking for more units as companies seek to shift their operations nearer Hinkley Point.”
Sedgemount Unit 19 offered 2,379 sq ft of office as well as useful industrial space.
Bruton Knowles is also steering incoming businesses to Condor Quay in Bridgwater, where a 4,000 sq ft warehouse unit is available close to the A38 and J23 and J24 of the M5.
Available to let on a new FRI lease, Unit 2 Condor Quay is a refurbished end terrace industrial unit with workshop/warehouse to the rear and two-storey offices to the front.
Businesses are also being steered to The Exchange - strategically located on Bridgwater’s Express Park.
The high quality modern offices front the main A38 less than a mile from Junction 23 of the M5, and within easy reach of Bridgwater town centre and comprise some 5,876 sq ft of highly flexible space which could be configured as individual offices or suites with flexible leases or inclusive serviced terms.
Will Nell said: “As is typical with many other locations there has been very little speculative construction of small business units in Bridgwater, hence an ongoing focus on refurbished space which is immediately ready to occupy.”
