Bruton Knowles has strengthened its Plymouth team with the appointment of a new senior surveyor.
Moving to the south west from Kent, Philip Treveil has now joined the Plymouth based, established commercial property team where he will focus his time on valuation work for loan security, pension fund, statutory and charity purposes for a range of clients.
Philip will be working primarily on commercial properties including industrial, retail, offices, but he is also experienced in providing advice on development sites and residential units, Philip’s appointment complements the highly-experienced team which advises on every aspect of commercial property across Devon and Cornwall.
Philip said: “Once I decided to relocate to Cornwall, moving to Bruton Knowles was the obvious choice and will allow me to use my experience from undertaking similar work in London and the south east..
“I’ll be looking to expand our valuation capability across the south west and in particular in Cornwall.
Ashleigh Phillips, partner at Bruton Knowles added: “We’ve seen a consistent increase in the level of valuation work over the last 2 years so it’s great to have someone with Philip’s experience on board to consolidate, as well as expand our offer. Joining Associate Glenn Kelly and myself, we now boast 3 RICS Registered Valuers in the team with over 60 years of combined experience.
With property finance still available at historically low levels and numerous new entrants into the market, given current market activity levels, we anticipate that demand for valuation advice will remain strong.
“Phil is the latest key appointment that we have made in the last two years to keep pace with the workload, especially in valuations, agency, property management, lease consultancy and business rates work and we intend to recruit further high calibre staff to realise our growth plans.
“We wish Philip all very best in his new role and welcome him to the team.”
