Backing Local: Bruton Knowles Renews Longstanding Partnership with Cheltenham Tigers RFC

08/01/2026

Bruton Knowles has renewed its sponsorship of Cheltenham Tigers Rugby Club in a two-year deal worth over £2,000, continuing a valued partnership that has been in place since 2018.

The relationship is one built on genuine connection. Dorian Wragg, Head of Commercial at the national chartered surveyor, has a long-standing personal affiliation with the club, having coached there previously. His support reflects both his own roots in the sport and Bruton Knowles’ ongoing commitment to community engagement.

Dorian said: “This sponsorship is much more than a business decision for me. Having grown up in and around rugby clubs and having coached at Cheltenham Tigers, I know just how important a role the club plays in the lives of young people and the wider community. We’re proud to support a club that makes such a difference.”

Cheltenham Tigers remains one of the most prominent and inclusive rugby clubs in Gloucestershire. With a focus on grassroots development, women’s rugby, and multi-ability teams, including players with a wide range of physical and neurological impairments, the club is an integral part of the region’s sporting landscape. In March 2025, the club’s wheelchair team added to that legacy by winning the National Division 1 title, a significant achievement in its expanding programme of inclusive sport.

James Bailey, Managing Partner at Bruton Knowles, added: “Cheltenham Tigers is a shining example of how sport can bring communities together, develop young talent, and support inclusivity. We’re delighted to continue our partnership and play a part in the club’s ongoing success.”

Club Chairman Steve Ratcliffe expressed his appreciation: “We are delighted Bruton Knowles has again renewed their sponsorship. This long-term partnership is invaluable to us. The support helps us to provide a massive community engagement programme, provide sport for over 1,000 club members and over 4,500 sports movements every week at Newlands. As a club we are very grateful to Dorian and his team in Gloucester, and the wider Bruton Knowles business, for their support.”

With long-standing connections to Gloucestershire and the South West, and with a head office in Gloucester, Bruton Knowles has supported local organisations and initiatives that reflect its values. As the business continues to grow nationally, it remains firmly committed to giving back to the communities where it began – and to backing organisations like Cheltenham Tigers that play such an important role in local life.
