Neil Young
HR Director
BA (Hons), MA, Chartered Fellow CIPD
Neil is an experienced HR Director with a strong background across a broad range of sectors including professional services, financial services, education, retail and logistics. Since joining Bruton Knowles in 2015, he has led the development and delivery of a people strategy that supports both the growth and culture of the business.
Neil oversees all aspects of strategic and operational HR, with responsibility for:
- talent attraction
- employee engagement
- learning and development
- organisational culture
- remuneration and benefits
- performance management
He is highly experienced in generalist HR best practice, employment law, business partnering and talent acquisition, and brings particular expertise in managing change during mergers and acquisitions, including TUPE.
With a proactive and insight-led approach, Neil focuses on building strong, collaborative partnerships across all areas of the business. He works closely with the Executive Team and line managers to support organisational goals through creative, people-focused solutions.
Naomi Corcoran
Talent Acquisition Specialist
Assoc. CIPD
Naomi is a proactive and experienced recruiter, supporting the growth of Bruton Knowles by leading recruitment activity for Valuation Surveyors and partnering closely with hiring managers and HR Director, Neil Young, to deliver the company’s Recruitment Strategy.
With over 12 years’ experience in both agency and in-house recruitment across sectors such as facilities management, engineering, construction and financial services, Naomi now specialises in the recruitment of MRICS Chartered Surveyors and Registered Valuers.
She has a proven track record in high-volume recruitment, headhunting, running assessment centres, workforce planning, and managing agency partnerships. Naomi is CIPD Level 3 qualified, bringing a strong understanding of HR and recruitment best practice to her role, including expertise in areas such as selection, attraction, retention, LinkedIn recruitment and ED&I.
Naomi plays a key role in supporting the continued expansion of our National Valuation Team.
Chris Doyle
Talent Acquisition Specialist
Chris brings over eight years of recruitment experience to Bruton Knowles, with a strong background in high-end, fast-paced, and high-volume recruitment.
With a proven track record in competitive recruitment markets, Chris understands that success often comes down to building long-term relationships and recognising that even if a candidate isn’t ready to move now, they might be in six months’ time. His approach is proactive and strategic, often headhunting and networking directly rather than relying solely on job adverts.
Chris takes pride in building genuine rapport with candidates, believing that relaxed, people-first conversations are what truly set Bruton Knowles apart. This personal, consultative style reflects the culture at Bruton Knowles, where flexibility, balance and integrity are core to how the business operates.
Olivia Gardiner
HR Coordinator
BSc (Hons), Assoc. CIPD
Olivia is a CIPD Level 3 qualified HR Coordinator who joined Bruton Knowles in 2025. Working closely with HR Director, Neil Young, Olivia plays a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle, from candidate offer and onboarding through to ongoing employee support and development, partnering closely with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure a seamless and efficient process.
In her role, Olivia is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of new starters, leavers, and employee changes, including contract preparation and maintaining up-to-date HR system records. She manages core HR functions such as sickness absence monitoring and employee benefits administration, including wellbeing schemes, private healthcare, and professional memberships. Olivia also oversees the business’s online learning and development portal and employee personal safety app, ensuring resources are accessible and effective.
A key part of Olivia’s role includes coordinating company-wide learning and development initiatives, including Graduate and Apprenticeship Schemes, and supporting Bruton Knowles in maintaining its accreditations, such as Investors in People.
